Under the Friday Night Lights on the beautiful NEW TURF FIELD the Ponte Vedra High School Football Season Opener in the dubbed "Battle of the Bridge" ended in a defeat for the Sharks of 38-28. It was a nail biter....
It was an impressive passive performance from our Shark QB Cole Rosendahl throwing for 348 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to running in for two scores himself.
It was a good night for both Shark Receivers Jack Berquist and Tucker Henderson both with impressive receiving yards and a touchdown for both.
The SHARKS tried to hold on to momentum and their comeback effort ultimately fell short after the blow of an injury to one of the top defenders on the PV SHARKS team; Senior Talan Babin.
There's plenty more FOOTBALL to play so it's all HEADS UP, SHOULDERS BACK as the SHARK TANK prepares for Game 2 of the Season against The Bartram Bears at home on FRIDAY AUGUST 29th, 2025 at HOME at 7pm.

Many youngsters here, will go to bed tonight and dream of one day becoming a part of the championship legacy that is here at Ponte Vedra High School.
